programs for the public

In the dog industry, there are traditionally two types of training levels that are available:

1. Professional assistance/service dog training - Training is done in open variable and practical settings.
2. Pet/sport training - Limited application or regard to “real life” variables or standards; taught in a contrived and closed (static) variable environment.

We believe that for the pet owner, a huge gap exists between the two training levels. We wish to bridge this gap by balancing the practical environment of the professional assistance/service dog training with the more relaxed lifestyle of the pet owner. This we present, as a third level of training called Practical Dog Training. This training level not only teaches the handler how to train their dog in a positive and safe manner, but as well, incorporates the higher standard of application most often sought by pet owners and our communities. This higher standard will help to ensure a more relaxed and trouble free co-existence for the pet owner whether in their home or on the street. What is heard loud and clear from pet owners is that the pet/sport training level does not translate necessarily to a quiet, relaxed and confident pet in the practical setting. We address this conundrum by utilizing a combination of a new and revolutionary classroom environment (or home environment) utilizing our Safe Area Principles™ with street work and field trips, rather than the conventional and contrived, and confining environment of the arena or shop bay. We provide training for individuals and groups in our innovative training clinics (or domiciliary consults). Meet the challenge to achieve the full potential that not only you and your dog deserve, but as well, your communities will thank you. Contact us for prices and scheduling.
